Nanook is a Greenlandic pop-rock band formed by brothers Christian and Frederik Elsner in 2008. The band's name refers to the mythological Greenlandic bear. Their music is characterized by soft and melodic indie rock with lyrics in Greenlandic. In 2010, they sold 5,000 albums, meaning that every tenth Greenlander bought a copy. Christian and Frederik are co-owners of the family-owned Atlantic Music, a company involved in musical instrument retail and recording activities.
