Nargaroth is a German black metal band led by René "Ash" Wagner, formerly known as "Kanwulf." The band was founded in 1996 following the disbandment of his previous band, Exhuminenz. Their debut album, "Herbstleyd," was released in December 1998. Other notable albums include "Black Metal ist Krieg" (2001), "Semper Fidelis" (2007), and "Era of Threnody" (2017). Nargaroth is known for its raw and misanthropic themes within black metal.
