Nat Adderley was an American jazz cornetist and composer, best known for his collaboration with his brother, saxophonist Cannonball Adderley. Together, they led a successful quintet that significantly contributed to the popularization of soul jazz. Among his most renowned compositions is "Work Song," which became a jazz standard. Adderley also collaborated with artists such as Bobby Timmons and Wes Montgomery. After his brother's death, he led his own groups and continued recording and performing until the end of his career.
