Neil Feather is internationally recognized as an inventor of experimental musical instruments. His instruments combine strings, springs, magnets, motors, and other components to create unique sounds. Since 1985, he has been a key figure in Baltimore's experimental music scene, where he was a founding member of the Red Room Collective and the High Zero Foundation. In 2016, he was awarded a Guggenheim Fellowship in Music Composition. In 2024, he released the album "Sound Mechanic: Music From a Documentary Film About Neil Feather," featuring recordings from a documentary about his work and music.
