Neil Young & The Stray Gators was a collaboration between Canadian musician Neil Young and the American backing band The Stray Gators. This formation emerged in 1971 during the recording of the album "Harvest" and continued their partnership on albums "Time Fades Away" and "Tuscaloosa (Live)". Their music blended elements of rock, folk rock, and country rock. Members of The Stray Gators included Ben Keith (pedal steel guitar), Jack Nitzsche (keyboards), Tim Drummond (bass guitar), and Kenny Buttrey (drums).
