Nils Landgren is a Swedish jazz trombonist and singer. He studied classical trombone at the music college in Karlstad and the university in Arvika. After completing his studies, he moved to Stockholm to begin his professional career. He has collaborated with artists such as ABBA, The Crusaders, Eddie Harris, Wyclef Jean, and Herbie Hancock. In 1983, he released his debut album "Planet Rock." In 1992, he founded the Nils Landgren Funk Unit, achieving international success. His awards include the German Jazz Award for the album "Paint It Blue" (1997) and the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany (2019).
