Nor59 String Institute, originally known as Nordstrandhogda String Orchestra, was founded in 1972 in Oslo, Norway. In 2009, Thorn Magnus Reymert took over as conductor, expanding the membership to 130, divided into five levels. The orchestra focuses on classical music and promotes diversity, allowing participation from musicians aged 13 to 17. The album "Shostakovich & Tchaikovsky" features works by these Russian composers.
