Nurse with Wound is a British experimental music project formed in 1978 by Steven Stapleton, John Fothergill, and Heman Pathak. The group is known for its pioneering approach to genres such as industrial, noise, dark ambient, and drone. Notable albums include "Chance Meeting on a Dissecting Table of a Sewing Machine and an Umbrella" (1979), "Homotopy to Marie" (1982), and "Soliloquy for Lilith" (1988). Stapleton has frequently collaborated with artists like David Tibet of Current 93 and Andrew McKenzie of The Hafler Trio. Their work is characterized by dadaist and surrealist humor, reflected in their album covers, most of which are designed by Stapleton under the pseudonym "Babs Santini".
