Ödön Rácz is a Hungarian double bassist born in Budapest. He studied at the St. Stephen Conservatory and later at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna. In 2004, he joined the Vienna State Opera Orchestra, and since 2009, he has been the principal double bassist of the Vienna Philharmonic. As a soloist, he has performed with several prominent orchestras and has released albums such as "Double Bass Fantasy" (2013), "Concertos for Double Bass" (2016), and "My Double Bass" (2019).
