Ofermod is a Swedish black metal band founded in 1996 by Mikael Hakola, known as Belfagor. The band is recognized for its contribution to orthodox black metal, blending music with theistic Satanism and left-hand path esotericism. Their fifth studio album, "Drakosophia," was recorded at Endarker Studio in Norrköping, Sweden, and released on October 3, 2025, under Shadow Records. The album features tracks like "Aicha Kandisha" and "Vineyards of Gomorrah." Belfagor collaborated with vocalist Adeptus, drummer Florian Musil, and bassist Devo, formerly of Marduk. Ofermod is closely associated with the dark magical order Dragon Rouge - Ordo Draconis et Atri Adamantis.
