Ohio Players was an American funk band formed in 1959 in Dayton, Ohio. Originally known as The Ohio Untouchables, the group renamed themselves Ohio Players in 1967. Their biggest hits include "Fire" and "Love Rollercoaster," both reaching number one on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1974 and 1975, respectively. Albums such as "Skin Tight" (1974), "Fire" (1975), and "Honey" (1975) achieved platinum certifications. The band was known for their provocative album covers and energetic live performances.
