Founded by Aaron Turner of Isis and Santos Montano, the lineup expanded to include Nate Newton of Converge and Caleb Scofield of Cave In. Their debut album, "Meditations in B," was released in 2000, followed by "Seminar II: The Holy Rites of Primitivism Regressionism" and "Seminar III: Zozobra" in 2001. Following Scofield's death in 2018, Stephen Brodsky of Cave In joined the band. In 2020, they released "Seminar VIII: Light of Meaning" and "Seminar IX: Darkness of Being."
