Omar Sosa is a Cuban jazz pianist and composer born on April 10, 1965, in Camagüey, Cuba. He studied at the prestigious Escuela Nacional de Música and Instituto Superior de Arte in Havana. Sosa is known for his unique style that blends Afro-Cuban roots with jazz, African traditions, and electronic elements. Notable albums include "Mulatos" (2004), "Eggun: The Afri-Lectric Experience" (2013), and "Transparent Water" (2017) with kora master Seckou Keita. He has collaborated with artists such as Paolo Fresu and the NDR Bigband.
