OOIOO is a Japanese experimental rock band founded in 1996 by Yoshimi P-We, the drummer and occasional trumpeter for Boredoms. The band began as a fictitious group for a magazine photo shoot but quickly gained attention as the opening act for Sonic Youth during their Japan tour in 1997. Their third album, "Gold and Green," released in 2000, features guest artists such as Sean Lennon and Yuka Honda.
