Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark (OMD) is an English electronic band formed in 1978 in Meols, Merseyside, by Andy McCluskey (vocals, bass guitar) and Paul Humphreys (keyboards, vocals). They are considered pioneers of synth-pop, with their debut single "Electricity" released in 1979. Notable albums include "Architecture & Morality" (1981) and "Dazzle Ships" (1983). The band is known for hits such as "Enola Gay" and "If You Leave". After disbanding in 1996, OMD reunited in 2006 and continue to create and perform music.
