The Orchestre de Paris is a French symphony orchestra founded in 1967 as the successor to the Orchestre de la Société des Concerts du Conservatoire. Its inaugural concert was conducted by Charles Munch. Based in Paris, the orchestra has been the principal resident of the Philharmonie de Paris since 2015. Notable recordings include "Stravinsky: Petrushka; Debussy: Jeux, Prélude" and "Ravel: Orchestral Works". The current music director is Klaus Mäkelä, who assumed the role in 2021.
