Oscar and the Majestics were an American garage rock band formed in 1960 in Gary, Indiana. Led by Oscar Hamod, who served as the lead vocalist and guitarist, the band was known for their hard-driving sound and use of distorted guitars. Their notable tracks include "No Chance Baby", "I Can't Explain", and "House of the Rising Sun 1969". The group recorded at Chess Studios in Chicago and released several singles on labels such as USA Records and Soulful Records. In 2011, a compilation titled "No Chance Baby!" was released, featuring all their recordings from the 1960s.
