Oval is a German electronic music project founded in 1991 by Markus Popp, Sebastian Oschatz, Frank Metzger, and Holger Lindmüller. The group is known for pioneering the glitch music genre, utilizing damaged CDs to create fragmented sounds. After the departure of other members in 1995, Popp continued the project solo. Notable albums include "Systemisch" (1994), "94 Diskont" (1995), and "Ovalprocess" (2000). Popp also collaborated with Jan St. Werner of Mouse on Mars in the Microstoria project.
