Pål Thowsen is a Norwegian jazz drummer who began his career in the 1970s as a member of Arild Andersen's quartet. He has released several solo albums, including "No Time for Time" (1976) and "Surprise" (1979), earning two Spellemannprisen awards. In the 1980s, he collaborated with vocalist Tor Endresen on albums "Call Me Stranger" (1986) and "Life Goes On" (1988), blending jazz with pop elements. Thowsen is known for his versatility and has worked with numerous notable musicians, such as Jon Eberson and Terje Rypdal.
