The Paper Kites are an Australian indie rock/folk rock band from Melbourne, formed in 2009 by Sam Bentley and Christina Lacy. The current lineup includes Sam Bentley (vocals, guitar, keyboards), Christina Lacy (guitar, keyboards, backing vocals), Josh Bentley (drums, percussion), David Powys (guitars, banjo, lap steel, backing vocals), and Sam Rasmussen (bass guitar, synthesizers). The band has released six studio albums, including "States" (2013), "Twelvefour" (2015), and "Roses" (2021). Their 2010 single "Bloom" achieved platinum certification in the United States. In 2019, their album "On the Corner Where You Live" was nominated for an ARIA Award for Best Adult Contemporary Album.
