Paul Cornish is a jazz pianist from Houston, Texas, who relocated to Los Angeles. His debut album, "You're Exaggerating!", is set for release on August 22, 2025, under Blue Note Records. The album features nine original compositions, including "Dinosaur Song" and "Palindrome," the latter featuring guest guitarist Jeff Parker. Cornish is part of the lineage of Houston jazz pianists, alongside artists like Jason Moran, Robert Glasper, and James Francies. In 2023, he secured third place at the Herbie Hancock International Jazz Piano Competition and has collaborated with artists such as Joshua Redman and Terrance Martin.
