Paul Gardiner was a British musician, known as the bassist for Tubeway Army and collaborator with Gary Numan. In 1976, he joined The Lasers, where he met Numan. Together, they formed Tubeway Army, releasing a debut album in 1978 and the successful "Replicas" in 1979. Gardiner continued working with Numan on "The Pleasure Principle" and "Telekon" albums. In 1981, he released the solo single "Stormtrooper in Drag." Gardiner passed away in 1984.
