Paul Neubauer is an American violist renowned for his virtuosity and musical versatility. He became the youngest principal violist of the New York Philharmonic, serving from 1984 to 1989. Neubauer has premiered works by composers such as Aaron Jay Kernis and Joan Tower. His discography includes recordings like "Bartók: Viola Concerto (revised version); Duos (arr. P. Bartók)" and "Kernis: Viola Concerto (2014)". He has served as a faculty member at the Juilliard School and Mannes College. Neubauer is also a member of the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center and regularly performs at international festivals.
