Paul Wertico is an American jazz drummer known for his versatility and musicality. Born on January 5, 1953, in Chicago, he gained international recognition as a member of the Pat Metheny Group from 1983 to 2001. During this period, he contributed to ten recordings and four videos, won seven Grammy Awards, and received several gold records. After leaving the Pat Metheny Group, he continued collaborating with various musicians, including Larry Coryell and Kurt Elling, and released several albums as a leader, including 'The Yin and the Yout'.
