Paul Wertico is an American drummer known for his versatility and musicality. From 1983 to 2001, he was a member of the Pat Metheny Group, with whom he won seven Grammy Awards. In 2008, he formed the Paul Wertico | John Helliwell Project with saxophonist John Helliwell, guitarist Raimondo Meli Lupi, and bassist Gianmarco Scaglia. Their first studio album, "The Bari Session," was recorded in 2019 and released in 2021. The album features tracks like "Circular Motion" and "It Seemed That Life Was So Beautiful" and is noted for its diversity and superb performance.
