Pauline Sachse is a German violist renowned for her chamber music interpretations. She has collaborated with the Armida and Modigliani Quartets, as well as artists like Sabine Meyer, Jörg Widmann, and Isabelle Faust. She is a regular guest at festivals such as the Salzburg Festival and the Rheingau Music Festival. Notable recordings include "Viola Galante" and "Schubert: Schwanengesang - Shostakovich: Viola Sonata." In October 2023, she assumed the professorship for viola at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater "Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy" in Leipzig. She plays a 1610 viola by Paolo Maggini and a 2017 instrument by Patrick Robin.
