Pete Way was an English bassist, known as the co-founder and original bassist of the rock band UFO, where he played from 1968 to 1982, with brief returns in 1988–1989 and again from 1991 to 2008. He was also a founding member of the bands Waysted and Fastway and collaborated with the Michael Schenker Group and Ozzy Osbourne. In 2000, he released a solo album titled "Amphetamine". Way passed away on August 14, 2020, at the age of 70, following injuries sustained in an accident.
