Peter Froundjian is a German pianist and artistic director of the Raritäten der Klaviermusik festival, held since 1987 at the castle in Husum. He studied piano under Gerhard Puchelt in Berlin and specializes in performing rarely played piano works. His 2017 album "Christmas Piano Music" features compositions by composers such as Selim Palmgren, Ferruccio Busoni, and Carl Nielsen. Froundjian is known for his historically informed approach to interpretation and has contributed to the revival of many forgotten piano pieces.
