Phisqa is a jazz ensemble led by Peruvian drummer Cote Calmet. Originally formed in Dublin in 2010, the group released their debut album "Phisqa" in 2013. After Calmet relocated to Granada, Spain, in 2018, the band was reassembled with new members. In 2021, they released "Pachamama," an album blending contemporary jazz with Peruvian and Afro-Peruvian rhythms. The current lineup includes Calmet on drums, guitarist Mario Alonso, bassist Alejandro Tamayo, and a horn section featuring Miguel de Gemma, Carlos Ligero, and Alberto Martín.
