Pig Destroyer is an American grindcore band formed in 1997 in Alexandria, Virginia. The original lineup consisted of vocalist J.R. Hayes, guitarist Scott Hull, and drummer John Evans. The band is known for its poetic lyrics and fusion of thrash metal, doom metal, and punk influences. Notable albums include "Prowler in the Yard" (2001), "Terrifyer" (2004), and "Phantom Limb" (2007). In 2024, they released a remastered version of the compilation "Painter of Dead Girls," featuring early recordings and B-sides.
