Pilot is a Scottish pop rock band formed in 1973 in Edinburgh by former Bay City Rollers members, vocalist and bassist David Paton and keyboardist Billy Lyall. The band is known for their hits "Magic" and "January," which reached high chart positions in the mid-1970s. Their debut album, "From the Album of the Same Name," was released in 1974, followed by "Second Flight" and "Morin Heights."
