Pinkney "Pink" Anderson was an American blues singer and guitarist born in Laurens, South Carolina. He began his career in 1914 by joining Dr. William R. Kerr of the Indian Remedy Company, entertaining crowds during the sale of medicinal products. In 1928, he recorded with Blind Simmie Dooley for Columbia Records. In the 1950s, Anderson performed with Leo "Chief Thundercloud" Kahdot and harmonica player Peg Leg Sam Jackson. In the 1960s, he released several albums, including "Carolina Blues Man" (1961) and "Medicine Show Man" (1962). Anderson passed away in 1974 from a heart attack in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
