Pontiak is an American neo-psychedelic rock band composed of three brothers: Van, Lain, and Jennings Carney. Hailing from the Blue Ridge Mountain region of Virginia, they began their musical career in 2004. Their music blends elements of indie, hard rock, stoner rock, and neo-psychedelia. Notable albums include "Sun on Sun" (2007), "Maker" (2009), "Living" (2010), and "Innocence" (2014). The band is known for their energetic live performances and collaborated with the band Arbouretum on the joint EP "Kale" in 2008. In 2015, they opened their own brewery, Pen Druid Brewing, in Virginia, which influenced their creative process during the recording of "Dialectic of Ignorance" (2017).
