Population II is a Canadian psychedelic rock band from Montreal, Quebec. The group consists of vocalist and drummer Pierre-Luc Gratton, guitarist and keyboardist Tristan Lacombe, and bassist Sébastien Provençal. After releasing several two-song singles in the late 2010s, they debuted with the album 'À la Ô Terre' in 2020 under Castle Face Records. This was followed by 'Électrons libres du Québec' in 2023, which was longlisted for the 2024 Polaris Music Prize. Their music blends elements of hard rock and psychedelic rock, drawing inspiration from various genres including funk, jazz, and punk.
