Powermad is an American thrash/speed metal band formed in Minneapolis in 1984. Their music is influenced by bands like Metallica and Testament, with vocalist Joel DuBay known for his mix of singing and high-pitched screams. In 1989, they released their only full-length album, "Absolute Power," under Reprise Records. After touring with Overkill and appearing in David Lynch's film "Wild at Heart," the band disbanded in 1990. They reunited in 2007 and released the album "Infinite" in 2015.
