Praying Mantis is a British rock band formed in London in 1973 by brothers Chris and Tino Troy. Initially part of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal (NWOBHM) movement, their music is characterized by a more melodic and AOR sound compared to their contemporaries. Their 1981 debut album, "Time Tells No Lies," features tracks like "Children of the Earth" and "Panic in the Streets." Throughout their career, they have collaborated with various vocalists, including Paul Di'Anno and Gary Barden. In 2024, they released their 13th studio album, "Defiance," marking the band's 50th anniversary.
