Primal Scream returns with their twelfth studio album, "Come Ahead," releasing on November 8, 2024. This album features 11 new tracks showcasing Bobby Gillespie's most personal songwriting to date. The creative process began in 2019, with Gillespie writing lyrics before music, leading to a fresh approach to composition. Collaborating with producer David Holmes and guitarist Andrew Innes, the album was recorded in Belfast, London, and Los Angeles. "Come Ahead" is a Scottish term signifying a challenge, reflecting the album's aggressive and confident attitude. The cover art features a photograph of Gillespie's late father, created by artist Jim Lambie.
