Pro-Pain is an American metal band formed in 1991 in New York City by Gary Meskil and Dan Richardson, former members of Crumbsuckers. Their debut album, "Foul Taste of Freedom," was released in 1992, showcasing elements of hardcore punk and rap metal. They subsequently signed with Roadrunner Records, which reissued the album in 1993. Their second album, "The Truth Hurts," was initially banned due to its cover art featuring a post-autopsy image of a woman. The band has released several albums with a changing lineup, with Meskil remaining the only constant member. Notable albums include "Act of God" (1999) and "The Final Revolution" (2013).
