Quicksails is the project of Chicago-based producer and multi-instrumentalist Ben Billington, a significant figure in the city's experimental music scene. In addition to his solo work, he has collaborated with bands such as ONO, ADT, Circuit Des Yeux, Tiger Hatchery, and Ryley Walker's band. His albums, including "Surface" released in December 2023, blend elements of free jazz, electro-acoustic production, and synthesizer arrangements.
