Rabbit was an Australian glam rock band from Newcastle, formed in 1973. Originally known as The Cherries, the group consisted of Jim Porteus (bass guitar), Phil Screen (drums), and Mark Tinson (guitar, vocals). In October 1974, they were joined by Dave Evans, former lead vocalist of AC/DC. The band released two albums: "Rabbit" (1975) and "Too Much Rock 'n' Roll" (1976), with the latter reaching number 53 on the Australian charts. Rabbit was known for their energetic performances and distinctive glam rock style. The band disbanded in late 1977, with some members continuing their musical careers in other projects.
