Rachel Podger is a British violinist and conductor specializing in the interpretation of Baroque music. She is the founder and artistic director of the Brecon Baroque Festival and the ensemble Brecon Baroque. In 2015, she received the prestigious Royal Academy of Music/Kohn Foundation Bach Prize, and in 2018, she was named Gramophone magazine's Artist of the Year. Her notable recordings include "La Stravaganza" and "Biber Rosary Sonatas." Podger is renowned for her use of period instruments and authentic approach to Baroque music interpretation.
