Rail Band is a Malian musical group formed in 1970, also known as Super Rail Band or Bamako Rail Band. The band combined Afro-Latin sounds with traditional Mandé musical styles, utilizing electric guitar, jazz horns, and traditional instruments like the kora and balafon. Notable members included artists such as Salif Keita and Mory Kanté. Their albums, such as "Sunjata" and "Melodias 'Rail Band' du Mali," are considered classics of West African music.
