Randy Brecker is an American trumpeter, flugelhornist, and composer known for his versatility in jazz, rock, and R&B. In 1967, he joined Blood, Sweat & Tears and later the Horace Silver Quintet. In 1975, he co-founded the Brecker Brothers Band with his brother Michael, releasing six albums and earning seven Grammy nominations. After the band's dissolution in 1982, he pursued a solo career, with albums like "Into the Sun" and "34th N Lex" winning Grammy Awards.
