Raphaela Gromes is a German cellist renowned for her virtuosity and technical brilliance. She studied under Peter Bruns in Leipzig and later with Wen-Sinn Yang in Munich. In 2012, she won first prize at the Richard Strauss Competition, and in 2016, she became a laureate of the German Music Competition. Her notable recordings include the 2019 album "Offenbach," which received the Opus Klassik award, and "Femmes" from 2023, focusing on works by female composers. In 2024, she released "Dvořák: Cello Concerto" with the National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine under the baton of Volodymyr Sirenko. Gromes plays a 1740 cello by Carlo Bergonzi.
