Rare Bird was an English progressive rock band formed in 1969. They released five studio albums between 1969 and 1974. Their single "Sympathy" reached number 27 on the UK chart in 1970 and sold approximately one million copies worldwide. The band was known for its keyboard-driven sound, with the original lineup featuring Steve Gould (vocals, bass guitar), Graham Field (organ), David Kaffinetti (electric piano), and Mark Ashton (drums).
