Ray Campi was an American singer, musician, and songwriter, known as the "Rockabilly Rebel". Born in New York and raised in Austin, Texas, Campi began recording in the mid-1950s. His trademark was a white double bass, which he often jumped on during performances. Notable albums include "Rockabilly" (1973), "Rockabilly Rebel" (1975), and "Rockabilly Man" (1981). He collaborated with artists such as Rosie Flores and Ian Whitcomb. Campi was a member of the Rockabilly Hall of Fame, and his music influenced many artists in the rockabilly genre.
