Red Box is a British pop group formed in 1981 by Simon Toulson-Clarke and Julian Close at the University of Westminster. The band achieved success in the 1980s with hits "Lean on Me (Ah-Li-Ayo)" and "For America," both reaching the UK top 10. Their 1986 debut album, "The Circle & the Square," blended traditional musical styles with modern pop. After releasing "Motive" in 1990, the band took a hiatus, returning with "Plenty" in 2010 and "Chase the Setting Sun" in 2019.
