Redd Kross is an American rock band from Hawthorne, California, formed in 1979 by brothers Jeff and Steve McDonald. Originally known as Red Cross, the band debuted in 1980 with a self-titled EP. Their first studio album, "Born Innocent," was released in 1982 and featured pop culture references, including the track "Linda Blair." In 1987, they released "Neurotica," which influenced the grunge scene. This was followed by "Third Eye" (1990) and "Phaseshifter" (1993). The band is known for their blend of alternative rock, power pop, and punk rock. Throughout their career, they have collaborated with bands such as Black Flag, Circle Jerks, and Melvins.
