Regulator Watts was a post-hardcore band from Washington, D.C., active from 1996 to 1998. The group consisted of Alex Dunham (guitar, vocals), Cret Wilson (bass, vocals), and Areif Sless-Kitain (drums). Their music featured taut, mechanical basslines and feedback-laden guitar lines, distinguishing them from their predecessor band, Hoover. After Regulator Watts disbanded, Dunham formed Abilene, and Sless-Kitain joined Bluetip. Their notable albums include "The Aesthetics of No-Drag" (1997) and "The Mercury CD" (1998).
