Rema, born Divine Ikubor, is a Nigerian singer, rapper, and songwriter. He began his career in 2019 by signing with Jonzing World, a subsidiary of Mavin Records. His debut album, "Rave & Roses," was released in March 2022 and features 16 tracks, including collaborations with artists like 6lack, Chris Brown, AJ Tracey, and Yseult. The album reached number 81 on the Billboard 200 chart. The single "Calm Down" from this album gained international recognition, especially after a remix with Selena Gomez, which peaked at number 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 and led the Billboard Afrobeats Songs chart for 58 weeks. In July 2024, he released his second album, "Heis," which was nominated for a Grammy Award in the Best Global Music Album category.
